Data Deletion Instructions

At The Social Tools, we respect your right to control your data. This page explains how you can delete your data from our platform and revoke our access to your Facebook account. You have two options: remove our app through Facebook's settings, or contact us directly for a full data deletion request.

Option 1: Remove via Facebook Settings (Recommended)

The quickest way to stop The Social Tools from accessing your Facebook account is to remove the app directly through Facebook's settings:

  1. Go to Facebook and open Settings & Privacy (click your profile icon in the top right, then select "Settings & Privacy").
  2. Click Settings.
  3. In the left sidebar, select Apps and Websites.
  4. Find The Social Tools in the list of active apps.
  5. Click the checkbox next to our app and then click Remove.
  6. Confirm by clicking Remove again in the popup dialog.

When you remove our app from Facebook, Facebook revokes our access token. Our system detects this revocation automatically and marks your connected accounts as invalid. We will no longer be able to ingest or interact with your Facebook comments.

Note: Removing the app through Facebook stops future access, but does not automatically delete data we have already stored. To request deletion of stored data, see Option 2 below.

Option 2: Request Full Data Deletion

To permanently delete all your data from The Social Tools — including your account, connected social accounts, ingested comments, workflow configurations, and audit logs — send a deletion request to us:

  1. Send an email to [email protected] from the email address associated with your account.
  2. Include the subject line: "Data Deletion Request".
  3. In your email, please include:
    • Your full name
    • The email address associated with your The Social Tools account
    • Which platform(s) you want data deleted for (e.g., "Facebook")

We will process your request within 30 days and confirm once deletion is complete. If we need additional information to verify your identity, we will contact you. You will not be charged for any subscription period after your deletion request is processed.

What Gets Deleted

When you request full data deletion, we permanently remove:

  • Your user account and profile information
  • All connected social media accounts and their access tokens
  • All ingested comments and associated metadata
  • All workflow configurations
  • All audit logs and moderation history
  • All team and workspace associations (where you are the sole owner)

Billing records are retained only as required by applicable tax and accounting laws, and do not include your social media data or comments.

Data Already on Facebook

Removing The Social Tools' access does not delete comments or content from Facebook itself. Comments we have hidden, replied to, or interacted with on your behalf remain on Facebook in accordance with Facebook's own policies. To manage or delete content on Facebook, use Facebook's native tools directly.
